In the summer of 2018, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced the formation of a team for the new project. Bosworth, who currently leads the company's hardware division, was promoted to the role of chief technology officer in 2022, and said the company would spend $10 billion over the next year developing the new feature. Despite the skepticism, the metaverse does seem to be on the verge of success. Its developers say that the concept of a digital space with many users will displace the internet and merge it with real life. As a result, the company renamed itself Meta. In a way, Zuckerberg is attempting to make Facebook more prominent by emphasizing its importance. In the metaverse, users can be virtual characters who can perform many activities. Those who are signed up will be able to travel anywhere and have a presence in lots of different environments. They can also customize their avatars, or "avatars," with biometric information and other data. Personal contact data is also stored for the creation of an avatar. The company may be viewed the metaverse as a new frontier for data collection. The social media giant has hired over 10,000 people to work on the project. However, the company doesn't plan to be the sole developer of metaverse. It will need the collaboration of different companies, governments and experts in various fields. The company has a lot to gain from this project. While it won't be built overnight, the project will take at least ten or fifteen years to come to fruition. That's quite a long time. While it may be difficult to imagine a world without people, this virtual world allows people to interact in ways that they otherwise would not be able to. It is not unlike other virtual worlds. A user can create and share their own game and spend money on it. Other users can buy their games and offer them to others. In the metaverse, the player can participate in different activities and live a normal life as an avatar. The development of augmented and virtual reality technology has opened the door to many new applications. For example, a user can view clothing on their avatar using augmented reality (AR) technology. The avatar will be made based on their actual dimensions. When the user purchases these clothes, they can then simply order them through a digital store. The clothes will then be delivered to their homes. Ultimately, this could lead to a completely digital shopping experience. The entire city could be digitized, including stores. Facebook's plans for metaverse are ambitious, but it's not ready for public consumption. While the company is focusing on its social network, it is not entirely free from controversy. Pakistan can play important role in VR Developments & Adoption. There is a large user base, who is ideal for metaverse adoption and there are young professionals who can learn development on metaverse.
